American Racing Equipment got its start in the 1950s when Romeo Palimedes, a paceleader in the early times of drag racing got together and collaborated with J.O. Ellison, a machine shop owner to create his drag racing wheels for his car. They soon met up with Tom Griffith, a far-thinking engineer ahead of his time, and the rest became part of history.
