Bike Excitement

Submitted by Dave Saltonstall-16825

In life, everyone has something that gives them great excitement. For some people, it is the exhilaration of success at work, the challenge of sports, the beauty of art and so on.

For one group of society, motor biking provides a significant amount of excitement. For these people, there is nothing quite like being on the open road on top of a motorbike. You feel the wind rush through your body as you manoeuvre in and out of traffic with ease. Another great benefit of being on a motorbike is you have a better view of the landscape around you as opposed to being in a car. While motor biking provides a lot of excitement it also comes with a certain danger if you are not careful. Motor biking safety is critical for anyone who wants to ride as accidents can be fatal.
In addition to the deaths noted, there are countless injuries from motorbike accidents, many of these accidents are left without compensation which would result from a good bike insurance provider.

There are several items that riders should strongly consider before they hop on their motorbike the next time. If you are going to ride the bike at night it is important to wear brighter colours so you are more visible to other drivers on the road, similar to riding a bicycle.

In the event of a crash, you will be thankful for wearing more durable material that has extra padding to break your fall such as leather. Other common sense safety items to wear on your ride include gear for weather proofing if you want to ride in difficult conditions, and simple items such as a durable helmet, gloves and tough boots. Two items that you might not think to wear on your ride are goggles and ear plugs; these two items are crucial as they protect vital senses. Once you have all of the safety items addressed you will need to know good places to ride your motorbike. Wherever you decide to go, take care to plan the details of your trip well in advance (such as good routes to ride, cost of places to stay, good restaurants in the area, etc). Finally, try to take your trip with other bikers if possible and find other bikers in your destination who can share stories, information about bikes and enjoy your company.
