Mazda Motor Corp. gladly announced its CX-7 crossover SUV climbing sales in North America for the month of October. The automaker also reported that the previous month's sales almost balanced the sharp sales decline of Mazda3. Mazda, on the other hand, pumped Adrenaline into CX-7 to create a completely stunning vehicle.

"Two factors negatively affected our overall sales picture this month, our lack of MAZDA3's and our planned reduction in fleet sales," says Jim O'Sullivan, Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) president and CEO. "However, our overall retail sales are up year over year and we nearly beat last October's sales, thanks to another dramatic monthly increase in CX-7 sales, which are being driven by strong media praise and consumer enthusiasm."

MNAOs combined Canada and Mexico operations reflected brisk sales in October. Mazda Canada Inc. (MCI) reported 5,978 sales, which reveals an 8 percent increase. Consequently, Mazda Motor de Mexico, which started last October, sold 804 units with just 10 dealerships.

Mazda CX-7, production version of MXD-Crossport concept car, is one of the automaker's vehicles that made it big in the auto market. The first CX-7 was built in Hiroshima, Japan. The car is inspired by Mazda Miata and parts.

Mazda CX-7 uses Mazdaspeed6's engine and driveline. The automaker also gives the vehicle its 6-speed manual transmission. The engine power is also enhanced to give off the range from 244-hp norm to an even 300 horses to exude one mean Mazda.

Mazda is determined to make the performance of CX-7 even better by unfolding its Adrenaline version. The latter features a totally different front clip with raised hood holding 2 vents. Adrenaline's headlight clusters are also new.

The exterior of the vehicle uses color shifting Nippon yellow paint that fades to white in the light. Distinguished Brembo brakes are also used to boost the 6-speed manual transmission performance.

Mazda Design North America also made an interior makeover. The seats were given new leather coverings. The new version also incorporated built-in DVD system, new gauges, iPod dock as well as floor covering.

According to auto analysts, October proved to be a good month for Mazda. Moreover, it is expected in the automotive industry that the coming months will turn out to be better.
