Selling your car may be a tough task but if you know the simple art of selling it becomes easy and convenient. It is very important to be straightforward and honest when selling your used cars. With today’s online resources the task has become even more simplified.

Here are some of the best tips for car selling:

1. Research on the market value of your car and accordingly set a price range for your car. Also set a bottom line below which you won’t sell your used car.
2. Once you are done with the setting the price range, clean the car interiors and exteriors thoroughly. The first impression of your car will make a lasting impression on the car buyer. So, consider minor maintenance issues and fix all possible problems mainly the issues related to brakes, transmission, engine, and steering wheel. Wash and wax your car, gloss up car tyres and wheels, clean junk from the car boot, check for any kind of noise and vibration, and ensure that the car runs smoothly. This will help give you good returns of your car.
3. Then select the best source of advertisement. Today, online car selling is considered by many car sellers. You can give a brief description of the car along with some good images of your car. Give all possible details and specification along with brief description of the extra fittings and modifications including the alloy wheels, upholstery, music system, and available services. Also mention in clear the price that you decided for your car.
4. Get prepared to answer any sort of questions and receive ample of enquiries. Remember what you have written in the advertisement and be honest in answering all the buyers ask and try to clear all their doubts.
5. Do not do screening of the buyer on phone. Meet him personally and talk over all the required things. Let the buyer take a test drive of your car and inspect both the car exteriors and interior. Let him be satisfied and comfortable with your car’s condition as well as your approach.
6. After the buyer shows interest in buying your car, ask him to pay some initial amount. Accept the payment only in cash or demand draft. If the buyer gives you a cheque then make sure that you don’t hand over the car to the buyer unless the cheque is cleared. Consider all the sale formalities.
7. You still have one responsibility to handle. You still have to do certain paperwork for transfer for car ownership. Take help from the RTO office for transfer of certificates.
