Rover Freelander 2 is about to seize the center stage of automotive realm and so its predecessor is enjoying its last days of hype. As they say, all good things come to an end moreover; customers are expected to take advantage of the chance to purchase the original Freelander.

Outgoing Freelander is not a bad product. In fact, spare parts Land Rover Freelander are comparable to Porsche Boxter. However, it uses the unique Rover design to make it more appealing to both the young and the old. The vehicle is rugged.
According to enthusiasts the aura of Freelander is somewhat similar to that of Disco or Range Rover. However, it is built by the automaker to compete with Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V.

According to critics, vehicles either evolve or dissolve. Moreover, to mark a milestone in Jaguar innovation, the automaker intends to set forth a brand new Freelander. This new version of the vehicle is already receiving a lot of positive vibes from car aficionados. Some say that Jaguar's move is in connection with its plan to revamp its lineup and upgrade auto parts. Also, another move is the enhancement of Discovery Land Rover parts to come up with Discovery 3. Aficionados also give a thumps up to new Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models.

Land Rover Freelander 2 was introduced at the 2006 British International Motor Show. Said vehicle is based on Ford EUCD platform, which is also based on the Ford C1 platform. The new platform is shared with Ford Galaxy, Ford S-MAX and Volvo S80. It will also be utilized by the upcoming Ford and Volvo models.

Freelander 2, which will be built at Halewood plant near Liverpool, features a transversely-mounted 3.2 I6 engine of the Volvo SI6 series. It was initially introduced in the new Volvo S80. Additionally, it uses sophisticated ground clearance and performance. It promises greater off-road capabilities compared to other rivals in same segment. The interior of the vehicle makes great use of the space without compromising storage and loading. Further, the permanent four-wheel drive made it more captivating, thrilling and functional.
