Engine

The Sonata Transform is available in one petrol version and two diesel. The petrol variant is propelled by an advanced 2.4L Theta II engine that delivers 174 bhp whereas the diesel variants are powered by a 2.0L Common Rail engine (CRDi) mated to Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT).

The petrol engine is associated with a 5-speed manual transmission and dual VTVT mechanism, variable valve timing for exhaust as well as intake valve. The diesel variants are available with a choice of 6-speed manual transmission and a 4-speed H-Matic transmission. H-Matic transmission offers an option to switch between the auto and sports mode.
