Louisiana Car Insurance TipsSubmitted by Simmons Sun, 21 Jun 2009
Unfortunately, you may find that if you are single it is difficult to find really cheap car insurance. You will also find that you are going to have to pay a much higher premium than a married couple or even a mature driver will have to pay. This is because the car insurance industry has age limits for single drivers. For instance, single men who are 23-years-old will find themselves paying more for their car insurance than a single man who is 29-years-old even if they have the same type of driving record and credit history. Of course, if you are considered to be a high risk driver and you are single, then your car insurance rates are going to be even higher.
Women should be thankful in that they are considered to be less of a risk than men. Herein women will oftentimes be able to receive a cheap car insurance rate just as long as they have a good driving record. There are 4 main things that will determine just how much you are going to have to pay for car insurance if you are single. These things include: 1.The area that you live in. If you live somewhere that has a lot of traffic you are going to receive a higher premium than someone who lives in an area which has less traffic. Another thing that is taken into consideration is just how much crime happens in your neighborhood. If you live in a high crime area you may find yourself being denied insurance or at the very least paying a higher premium than someone who lives in a low crime area. 2.Your driving record. If you happen to have a speeding ticket, or any other violations, you are going to pay a higher car insurance rate. Most insurance companies will look back over the past 10 years to see if you have any driving infractions. Usually your car insurance rate will lower as your driving record improves. 3.The type of vehicle that you are driving as well as the year in which it was manufactured. You will find yourself paying a lot less for an older vehicle than a newer one. 4.What you will be using your vehicle for. Herein the job that you do and how much education that you have will also help to determine your car insurance rate. So, if you use your car to deliver newspapers, then you are going to pay more than someone who is educated and had good grades throughout their college career. Doing your best to take these aforementioned factors into consideration and improve upon them in any manner that you can will definitely help you to get cheaper car insurance rates. Another thing that you can do is take some time to go online and shop around to see what companies are willing to offer you the cheapest car insurance rates. Taking the time to do these things will help you save money in the long run.
