Submitted by jaystevens

For consumers who are searching for that vehicle holding qualities like a smooth ride, an agile performance, roominess and space, practicability, and yet affordable, the Ford Escape would be the vehicle of choice. This vehicle comes in three trim levels which comprises of the XLS, the XLT, and the Limited. Each of these trims have been made available with either a front wheel drive (2WD) or a four wheel drive (4WD).

The Ford Escape is a sport utility vehicle that is good on the road, small and very affordable. This vehicle offers agile handling, a smooth ride, and the ability to take in under its roof a maximum of four passengers. Combined with an optional V6 engine, the Ford Escape provides brisk acceleration. It also sports rear seats that could be folded down flat so as to reveal a flat and moderately sized cargo area.

Comparing the Ford Escape to other compact SUVs, this vehicle is very much wider and has a well-planted stance. It has a forward-poised stance, large wheel lips, a wide body cladding, and integrated bumper guards. Adding a sporting appeal to the Ford Escape is its short front and rear. The Ford Escape looks bolder and more aggressive than the Honda CR-V. As per this sport utility vehicle’s interior, it is very much spacious. It holds front seats that are nearly as generous in space as the Ford Explorer. It also has low door sills and wide door openings that make entry and exit easy. The instrument panel is very straightforward and holds instruments white in color. For easy driver access and reach while drive, the audio system, heating system, ventilation, and air conditioning controls have been mounted in the center stack and angled slightly towards the driver. As per the power window and lock switches, they have been illuminated so as to facilitate an easier find and access.

When driven, the Ford Escape offers responsive handling and brisk acceleration performance. It has a relatively taut suspension that is very much unlike the slack characteristic that larger SUVs contain. This vehicle also boasts a responsive steering. The driver of the Ford Escape is given a sense of control. An additional plus for this vehicle is that its tires has the capacity to grip respectively in paved corners, thus providing a quick, yet smooth driving for everyone. The brakes of the Ford Escape also are smooth and responsive.

Standard equipment for the Ford Escape include air conditioning, an anti-theft system with perimeter alarm, four wheel anti-lock brakes, a cargo cover, a convenience net, a center console with armrest, a cruise control, a 3.0 liter Duratec V6 engine, a four-speed automatic transmission, front fog lamps, a rear privacy glass, a chrome grille, dual visor mirrors, a six-way power driver’s seat with manual lumbar control, five-spoke alloy wheels, full carpeting, an electric rear window defroster, power locks, power mirrors, a tachometer, and power windows. Also, options for this vehicle include leather seating surfaces, a steering wheel wrapped in leather, front bucket seats, and a 60/40 split rear bench.
