Many people are considering using biodiesel fuel instead of the usual standard gasoline. Why? Because gasoline prices are steadily increasing and many of us are finding it difficult to keep up with it. Biodiesel can be made and therefore is cheaper for many of us.

Now that gas prices have been shooting through the roof many people are turning to biodiesel and discovering for themselves the many uses it would have for them. In order to truly use it many of learning how to create their own biodiesel.

There are many advantages that come with using biodiesel over gasoline. But many are still not convinced by them. Certain people are scared to use biodiesel in their cars for fear the way that their cars run. However, there have been many tests and research on the subject and they all proved that it is safe to use both for your car and for the environment. It would not surprise us to see more and more people convert their cars to this fuel and avoid paying for the expensive gas.

There are twelve steps involved to processing and converting vegetable oil into making biodiesel. These steps take about six to eight hours. The organic oil is extracted from plants and when you have collected enough to produce one batch you will heat it up a approximately 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

You need to make sure that your fuel is filtered and pure. In order to monitor the oil you will need to monitor the titration levels. When the titration levels are at the right amount it is time to add the lye and methanol in a specially designed processor. Make sure that you have plenty of time before you separate the oil. Once you have finished separating you will need to use water to clean the finished product.
