Getting Heavy Machinery Like Used Bulldozers For Your Worksite Quickly And Affordably

Heavy Machinery is found on almost every construction site in different sizes, with various outfits, made by different manufacturers. If you are looking for a used bulldozer, also called a loader or excavator, the scope of your work will determine the kind of blade and ripper you need. There are many more options today including hydraulic blades and automatic transmissions.

Be certain of your requirements and begin to get quotes. First, ask anyone you know in the industry for inside tips on prices, quality and used dozer sources. Contact manufacturers through their websites and ask specific questions that will prepare you for further research. When you’re done with them, search the internet for heavy machinery auctions, industry sales and private sales.

Many of the used bulldozers sold online and at used sales lots are purchased at auctions because prices are at their best and you get to inspect purchases in person. Important auctions take place annually and are worth traveling to if they work with your schedule and if you qualify as a buyer. Monthly auctions are worth attending and may be held at more local yards. This allows you to save on shipping costs and have a dozer on your work site in a few hours.

When getting online quotes, negotiate the price after asking the make and year of manufacturer and time on heavy machinery. Ask to see photos and try to negotiate a quote on the shipping. If applicable, find out about customs charges and don’t forget to ask about shipping insurance.

A new, ready to operate dozer is shipped on a flat bed trailer direct from the manufacturer to your work site. Standard shipping on used purchases normally takes two to four weeks. Always inspect used machines before putting them to work.

Sites like Ebay ship all over the world at standard freight prices. Here, a 33,000 pound mid range CAT averages sixteen thousand dollars, but its US standard freight charge approximates one hundred thousand dollars. If possible, rent your own flat bed truck or shipping service and save on time and money.
