Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI Races To The Clouds

The Volkswagen Touareg is a creation straight from the Volkswagen AG. It has been in production since the year 2004 and at present, more and more units of this vehicle is still continuously crafted. It is an entrant to the midsize sport utility vehicle segment and it comes as an SUV that holds four doors. The official name of the competition is “Pike Peaks International Hillclimbing Contest.” And it looked like the Volkswagen Touareg sure has proved that it can overcome various types of terrain and road conditions yet without even harming its Volkswagen car parts.

Anyhow, if you are interested in going to the off road and taking the Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI with you, then you are most certainly going to love this piece of news: the vehicle is going to be on sale in the US starting this September. And yes, it will be coming with a diesel particulate filter which is something new in the US auto market. In fact, in the US, the Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI would be the very first vehicle made for the off road that comes with a turbo-diesel engine and a particulate filter.

It would perhaps be sold in the US for about $53,300. And if you have this much money, you would be taking home a Volkswagen Touareg TDI that has an engine that could produce 128 kW at 174 bhp. Or if you are pining for the European version of this vehicle which has been created with a power of 230kW and 313 bhp, you should better be ready to shell out some $96,000.
