There has never been a better time to buy a new or used Sport Utility Vehicle. If you are in the market for a new Sport Utility Vehicle Detroit and Japan are offering great deals from zero money down, to cash back offers, and close to base invoice prices. If you are in the market for a used Sport Utility Vehicle great deals are to be had no matter where you live.

The Ford Explorer has been around since 1990 and for fifteen years was the best selling Sport Utility Vehicle. Today it comes with a wide range of options and prices from the 2wd XLT to the 4WD Limited. The base invoice price for the new Ford Explorer comes in at just under twenty six thousand dollars for the rear wheel drive and twenty eight thousand dollars for the basic fore wheel drive. The Explorer is a great SUV for keeping your family safe, towing your boat, or getting through the ruff northern winters. All 4.0L 2wd models get 14 mpg city and 20 mpg highway the 4.6L

The Toyota 4Runner was introduced in 1988. Today it is one of the best Sport Utility Vehicles available. It drives as well off road as it does on the road giving passengers a smooth and comfortable ride. The newest model comes with a base invoice price of twenty five thousand dollars for the basic SR5 4x2 and tops out at thirty five thousand dollars base invoice price for the Limited 4x4 V8. All V6 models get 16 mpg city and 21 mpg highway the V8 models get 15 mpg city and 19 mpg highway.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee was first introduced in 1993 and is geared towards the higher end luxury consumer. It provides an amazing interior smooth ride and out of this world over all comfort for driver and passenger. It lacks a heavy towing capacity and off road durability making it more of luxury SUV then a go any where when you need it to SUV. The base price for a new Jeep Grand Cherokee basic Laredo 4x2 is twenty eight thousand dollars and forty one thousand dollars for the Overland 4x4. It gets 14 mpg city and 20 mpg highway.

No matter which model you are looking at make sure to bring along a mechanic before you buy a used model. If you are looking at a new model the base invoice price should be your goal price when negotiating. Good luck and happy car hunting.
