Attracting Customers with promotional bags

Today’s economy had really taken a toll on my creative crafts business, and I was desperate to attract new customers. While engaged in my morning mall walking exercise program, I was pondering the various options of purchasing newspaper ads, using signs, or buying radio time, when I had a serious brainstorm.

All of the people around me were carrying bags with the name of a business flashing in every direction. I immediately realized that promotional bags would be the most cost effective way to put my business in front of the public eye. By ordering promotional bags in bright colors with my business name and phone number prominently displayed, I could attract customers in a non-threatening, but memorable way.

Promotional bags would also be reused by my customers so my advertising dollars would continue to bring in new business in the future. The best part, in my mind, was that environmentally friendly promotional bags would go everywhere my customers go. Also, my customers’ friends, who probably enjoyed some of the same kinds of activities as they did, were my best potential customers.

After checking online, I discovered that promotional bags could be purchased in a variety of materials from canvas to mess or plastic. I was also surprised by the eye-popping colors available. The bags would certainly attract attention and the prices fit my advertising budget.

I decided that I had nothing to lose and everything to gain by trying promotional bags. My customers were delighted and felt they had received a bonus when I passed back their orders in one of my bright new promotional bags. Since beginning this new advertising adventure, I have often seen my promotional bags being carried proudly at ballgames, in the park, and even at the senior center in town.

I know that my business name is before the customers that I need to attract, and I’m very proud to provide something so useful for my customers. I will be using promotional bags again next season in a different style and color as my business base continues to grow.
