Be tactful not tactlessSubmitted by byerwills Thu, 30 Jul 2009
Police have been given permission by magistrates to hold Peter Harvey, a 49-year-old teacher from All Saints' Roman Catholic School in Mansfield as it was reported that an incident in a classroom took place where he attacked teenage pupil Jack Waterhouse, 14, and assaulting two other children.
An incident took place in the classroom which left the pupil with serious head injuries and had to be rushed to hospital for further examination. Others say the incident was out of character for the teacher and wouldn't normally lose it like that. But when is it right, if at all, to lose patience in a stressful situation? In internet marketing what makes things easy is when everything goes your way. Graphs are seen to be going up, positions are holding well, and the client is happy. But when this changes, we tend to get a little stressed and start to panic as we realise that the next phone call could well be from the client wanting to know what is happening to his business. This can cause anxiety levels to rise and result in doing things out of character in an attempt to quickly rectify the problem before anyone realises. This knee jerk reaction is a result of the amount of pressure that firms like pay per click search engine marketing companies have to deal with, and usually result in even worse positions than before. It is vitally important not to panic though, as easy as it sounds, and you must be patient and keep to the strategy that is in place at the start of the campaign. Sometimes these drops occur because of algorithm updates or roll backs, or even because of over optimisation. But before composure is lost over the situation, one must step back, assess the situation and strategically work to resolving the issue. Like the school teacher experienced, panic and lack of tact can result in making things worse, which is of no benefit to anyone.
