Create Flyers Without Going CrazySubmitted by robertjohnston Fri, 8 Jul 2011
Flyers are everywhere. Unfortunately though, most of them end up in the trash. So your goal should be to find a way to make people want to distribute it themselves. The only way to do that is to create interest. Make it so informative and exciting that readers would want to share it to people they know. Flyers represent your company so be sure it has some extra edge too. You don't have to go crazy creating flyers; here are some simple tips to get you started:
1) Settle down Don't be too excited or worried. Breathe and let it all in (your ideas, that is). 2) Gather your thoughts Now that you are more relaxed you can collect your thoughts. From the moment you thought of flyers, ideas and designs started popping in your head so you need to organize them accordingly or pick out only the best ones that you think is vital for the flyer. 3) Find colors that suit your needs Color matching is a tedious task especially if you need to make it look professional. So if you are having difficulty choosing the right colors, it would be wise though if you let the professionals do it for you. 4) Find pretty pictures Its one thing you need to make your flyer attractive. You can let this pass if you think words are enough but if you do decide to put pictures makes sure it is worthy. Put a picture that sums up what you want to say. 5) Think of enticing words Power words sell and softly push people to do what you intend them to do so think of words that entice and persuade. Carefully pick words, research and ask around. 6) Thinks fonts The words you create will be made visible and attractive by the font type and size you use. Choose something simple and understandable even from a distance from flyer. 7) Make a sketch So you are not Picasso or da Vinci. It's okay, do not worry. If you decide to get a designer (which hopefully you do), a general idea through sketching will go a long way in relaying what you want to the professional. So do a little sketching even if it is just stick figures or simple shapes. 8) Find a designer or Creative artist Your chosen designer or creative artist should have a general or a little background on business. Knowing or foreseeing what your target market would prefer is a talent he or she must possess. Share your general ideas and draft layout then let him or her do the magic. 9) Canvass Flyer Printers that specialize on Flyers Look for a reliable printer that knows and has had so many experiences in flyer printing. This way they know the basics and must - haves of flyers. Reliable ones are always on time and give you a realistic price that does not break bank nor does not lessen the quality you require. 10) Think of expenses and returns Budget everything before you finally decide to print. Do you need more than a 1000? Or do you require less but needs to make it look extra elegant? What ever you choose, you must always remember to weigh in the costs over your expected returns - be realistic. 11) Go for it! Have it printed! Are your flyers ready? All you need to look for now are people to distribute and hand over the flyers to your intended audience. Flyer printing is easy to do if you do it right, so take time to create it.
