Creating Effective Envelopes Despite The Rise of the Internet

There is a very good reason why custom envelopes are not getting the attention that they used to get before. They're not that important anymore because the printed mails are now replaced by emails and online correspondences. Everybody's into paper-less communication these days that envelope printing has taken a back seat in the communications department.

With email and voice mails replacing almost all the printed correspondences, it's no surprise to see just a handful of people actually using paper envelopes to send to their correspondents. Envelope printing indeed is not as important as it was before the advent of the Internet and the World Wide Web.

But despite the proliferation of the Internet, we still have to send written correspondences to market our business. In order to communicate our message to our target clients, we still need to send our sales literature by the post. With the costs of mailing it dropping in recent years, marketing with custom envelopes then can be an ideal route for many small business owners.

Here are suggestions to increase your envelope's impact even when everybody's using the Internet to communicate with each other:

Use color.
Full color is the way to go if you want your envelope printing to stand out. It's been known for years that color can actually make it easy for any business to attract and engage the target clients in the business. Despite its reputation, the actual cost of full color printing is affordable. You just have to learn to maximize the colors you apply to your custom envelopes in order for you to save on your expenses.

Use a logo.
Include your company logo and put it in front of your envelope where everybody can see it. This will help your recipients recognize you right away. By including your logo in your envelope, you minimize the chances of your target clients considering your mail as junk. The less likely that they would throw it away even before they open it to see the contents inside.

Use a return address.
This is especially helpful if you want your recipients to answer your correspondence. So make sure that your return address is up to date and has the correct information. You'll be surprised at the amount of mails being returned in the post office just because the mail doesn't have the right address.

Use bulk printing.
Order in bulk to save on costs. You're going to use plenty of envelopes anyway. So make sure your envelope printing is affordable by ordering in bulk. The more you order, the more chances you have of getting a better deal.
