Get Your Mails Opened: Get More PersonalSubmitted by charen Tue, 10 Mar 2009
The hardest part in any marketing campaign is not choosing your list, or laboring on every word that you say in your collateral. It’s not even the selection of significant elements you would want to include in your design and finally inserting them in their right place in your collateral. And definitely, it’s not the waiting time you endure to get your print ads finished and delivered to you.
Not one of these things. In fact, all your hard work will be for naught unless your target clients open your custom envelopes. That’s right. The hardest thing that every business owner and marketer will endure is to have your envelope printing attract the attention of your target clients, enough to make them want to open your mail. If you’re like marketers who have had this problem ever since, maybe it’s time for you to start re-defining your marketing strategy. Why not add personality to your envelope printing. A personal touch always gets people enticed to know more. Adding a personal touch to your envelope printing can increase the odds of your target clients actually opening your collateral. Add a personal touch to your mail This means that you dump your idea of sending your collaterals in the usual white and cheap looking envelopes to save money. If you want your mail opened, you’d better make sure that you send them out in custom envelopes made from heavy, high quality paper stock, closed face, #10 business size. Please no labels, windows and postage metering! And if you want to look professional, important and dignified, be sure to avoid inserting illustrations or any kind of graphics to your envelopes however personal it may seem. For a more elegant touch, include commemorative stamps. Or you can also purchase a number of less expensive stamps then paste at least 5 to 6 pieces in each of your custom envelopes. Another way to personalize your envelope is to handprint the names and addresses of your target clients. You can always hire people to do it for you. Just remember to choose those that have good penmanship so you won’t botch your ad. Sending your package via Federal Express can certainly add class to your marketing campaign. Although it’s a bit expensive than ordinary mail, this is especially effective if you’re targeting the business owners and top executives of companies. This is according to a recent study made on what items are opened and read by many executives. FedEx apparently gets the job done. Getting your custom envelopes opened should not be something that you consider at the last minute. Instead, treat every mail you send to your target clients as a very important process in your marketing campaign. Your business will definitely benefit from it when you provide your target clients with the best reason to open your mail.
