Do you want to make postcards to send to your family and friends? Or do you have a home-based business that you want to advertise by sending postcards to your prospective clients? You can do that by Avery postcard printing. You would only need a computer and a colored printer for this purpose. Avery has some very nice postcard templates that you can use for different purposes. These are already pre-formatted so you will know where to put the text, photos, and graphics. Sometimes, there are already graphics affixed to it so you will not have to think hard about your designs. You make your Avery Cards using different programs.

Print with Microsoft Word 2010

1. When you open a Word document, you will find under "New" a selection for "Postcard." Click okay and then locate the icon for Avery postcard. Hit the "Download" icon and it will automatically download the different Avery templates on your computer.

2. Select your preferred template and make a filename for it. Then input the details that you want in the default boxes for texts and photos.

3. When you are satisfied with your design, you can proceed to printing it on a card stock.

Make you Design with Google Documents

1. Go to Google Documents and navigate through their template gallery. You may want to type in keyword "Postcards" to narrow down your search. Locate the Avery designs and download your preferred layout. You just click on "Use This Template" and it will be opened in Google Documents.

2. Like the Word document, you will find default text and photo boxes on the template. So simply replace the default entries with your own. Make sure to proofread your work before printing to avoid wasting paper and ink.

3. Printing is easy as you will just have to click the "Print" icon on document menu.

Using Avery Online Labels for Printing

1. Go to the Avery website and browse through the available templates in their gallery. You can type "Postcard" in the search box to make your browsing easier. Each template has an Avery product number that you can click if that is the design of your choice. Then hit "Next" for the next process.

2. After the design selection, choose to design the front side by clicking the icon, "Front of the Sheet". Go on with the process of putting in your texts and photos and do the same on the "Back of the Sheet". Don't forget to update the back portion with your own name and address as well as the contact details of your addressee. Then click "Next". Save your work and proceed to printing.

3. In the menu you will find the icon "Print this Project." Click on it and follow the printing instructions from there.

Now you know that there are three easy ways with which you can undertake your next Avery postcard printing project. Your postcards will be made in a breeze and you can send them to your mailing list in no time. You also get to save a lot of money in the design and printing because you have done it yourself. You only spend for the ink, the card stock, and your postage fees and your mailers are already on their way to your recipient's hands. Most of all, you get the satisfaction that it is you who made those postcards for your friends and loved ones.
