Make Pocket Folders Easily

It is easy to make pocket folders if you know where to start and what to do, so take into consideration these simple steps and go have those pocket folders printed. Make sure though that you get the professional - looking pocket folder printing that you really need for your business.

Ask yourself the following questions to get you by:

1) Why do I need a pocket folder?
When you answer the need you will relatively have a general idea on how many you need by thinking if you will be using it long term or just for this certain project.

2) How do I want it to look like?
Do I want a fancy folder with lots of pictures or has heavy text? Do I want it to look serious and very professional? Think about the people who will get those folders and what you think will get their attention. Ask help from your local printer and tell how you visualize the folder, draw it if you could.

3) What will I be putting in it?
Are you thinking of having pictures and a lot of text in that folder or are you more of a minimalist and would just like your company name and contacts on the folder? How ever you want it is entirely up to you but remember that the more professional folders are simple and understandable.

4) Will I be using it for now and changing it later? Or using it for different times?
You need to answer this question because you need to budget and decide how much you need for printing.

Make sure to have a general idea of the following before heading out to the printers too:

• Board/paper folder type
Depends mostly on the available boards in the printer but you need to be sure you are getting the right thickness and the feel of the paper or board. Some boards or paper do not go well with foils or prints so ask the printers what would be best for your need.

• Dimensions
Check the documents you will be placing in that folder and get the dimension of the largest (highest and widest) document because that will be the size of your folder.

• Edges
There are some companies that request the edges of the folder to be a little rounded the pointed one so let them know if you prefer that kind of edges.

• Slits
Like edges, your slits can be rounded. You can also choose between having two slits or four (for a more secure fit). Slits are most often used for placing business cards or small cards that you want to be visible once the pocket folder is opened.

• Foil or fonts
You can choose font printouts or embossed foils. Foils are mostly used for shorter words like your company name or website or contact information. Letterings in Hardbound books are similar to foils for pocket folders.

• Pocket type
Pockets differ from how they are cut, if you will be having tall documents in the folder consider those that are slightly slanted.

How ever you want your pocket folders to look is entirely up to you and the available options in the printers. Pocket folder printing doesn't take much time to create and print so make sure you get a printer that can work as fast as you can create your preferred layout.
