Making Your Brochure Text More Effective With Smart Formatting

Effective brochure printing is not just about making appealing content. You also have to format that content in a smart way so that they are more effective in communicating what you want. If you want to do this in your brochure printing, then let me teach you how. Below is a list of five smart formatting tips that you can use to make your custom brochure text more effective. Try to use these in your designs for brochure printing.
1. Size changes for headings - Changing the font size of your headings is a great way to make your custom brochure content more effective. Since most readers do not actually read brochures from start to finish, having larger sized headings throughout your color brochures help people spot the area they want to read first and skip to it immediately. This makes your custom brochure a real breeze to read, making it quite the effective tool for communication. So think about changing the size of your headings.

2. Using the Bold feature - The "bold" feature of course is also a very simple way to emphasize certain words and phrases. You can use this feature quite effectively for brochure content such as quotations and even power words that you really want to emphasize such as "FREE". So whenever you print brochures, try to see if your content might need some bold formatting. Do not overuse this of course, but if you are smart about your bolds, you can easily have readers read the first thing that you want to show them.

3. Using Italics - Italics like the bold feature can also be used for emphasis. Unlike the bold feature though, italics are more effectively used for uncommon or new type words that you want readers to focus on. Italics can be used quite effectively for foreign words, technical terminology or new buzz terms that you are inventing for your custom brochures. The italic feature helps readers understand that the words are special and is something they should take note of.

4. Thinner paragraphs - Another great formatting scheme to help you improve your color brochure content are thinner paragraphs. If you want to emphasize a whole block of text or a long quotation, you can actually format your brochure in such a way that the paragraph you want is thinner, with large left and right margins. This makes your small paragraph pop out, causing people to read that area first before going on to the details within the text itself. If you want to highlight a testimonial or a great quotation, this is a great brochure formatting scheme that should work.

5. Using lists - Finally, it is good to use lists in brochures. If you have content that can be displayed in list format, I suggest that you do format your content in a list so that it can be presented in your brochure in a better manner. Lists not only help you organize content better and make your color brochures look appealing, it also makes the information within them easier to remember. So use lists whenever possible in your content

So that is all the formatting tips I can give you. Hopefully this should help a lot in your brochure printing. Good Luck!
