The goal of every Ad Agency is to get more (and “bigger”) clients as possible. To be able to do so, one important thing must be done – market your agency to the extremes!

Now, the biggest question that is probably circling your mind now is how? Basically when you market, remember four important aspects; namely, product, pricing, promotion, and placement. Like how other companies view it, Ad Agencies like you must note (or prioritize, to be exact) the above-mentioned aspects, specifically focusing on products and promotions.

Doing so will not be a problem – marketing is supposed to be the forte of your agency! You have all the necessary resources to start a marketing campaign, no need to invest large amounts of money. Tell your staff that before your agency could enjoy fame, all of you need to exert effort as a team first – and that is free of charge. After all, once you achieved the right advertising, your agency would gain profit (which also means increase in salary).

You also have to remember that it is a general rule in marketing to understand your competition. At present, there are thousands of Ad Agencies in US alone. It is your job to understand and master the strengths and weaknesses of your competitors. This way, you would not only improve your services, you would also get to mature as a company. Scott Cooper, Fritz Grutzner, and Birk Cooper gave a tip regarding this in their book entitled “Tips and Traps for Marketing your business.” They said, “Target a weakness in your competitor's strength. A competitor's strength is something they will be incapable of changing, Study strengths to find weaknesses in your competitors."

Now, the first (and the probably the easiest) thing you can do to market your agency is to build an “optimized website.” This website must be the “most perfect” representation of your agency – it must display your most excellent work and your general vision as a company. Make your website as chic, modern, and sophisticated as possible. Remember, this wouldn't be hard for you since your agency already has all the available “resources”.

Aside from the design, another important thing that you need to consider in your website are the contents. Since “content writing” is a basic part or service of an Ad Agency like your company, you have the proper means to make it very outstanding. What to write? You can read our article entitled “Online Presence Crucial to Agency Survival.” By reading this article, you will be able to know what to properly write in your website's content, plus tips on how to promote your website in the internet.

Speaking of promoting, the most effective way to be noticed in the internet is by optimizing your website. Here are the very basic things you can do to optimize your website: publish articles or get listed in news stories, write and publish online press releases, blog and interact with your visitors, and join Social Networking Sites and Social Bookmarking Sites. Nevertheless, for a more thorough explanation regarding this, you can refer to the article we've mentioned above.

Aside from doing a website, you can also invest in commercials or print ads. The more creative your commercial or print ad is, the more amazed your potential clients would be. After all, as we've said, your company has all the “resources” to be accomplishing this.

As an Advertising Agency, your company is product-based, or much appropriate, results-based. Whether it is a site, a print ad, or a commercial , it is important for your agency to exert all efforts in every project.
