Promotional Conference Bags - It's All About The Pockets

Submitted by tinarinaudo

When you order a promotional conference bag, there are a number of characteristics to consider. What colors is the bag? Where is your logo or company name placed? What material is used to make the bag? How large is the bag? The list goes on and one, which is why some people have a hard time deciding which bags to buy! However, one thing is certain. When it comes to promotional conference bags, pockets and key.

The number of pockets found in your bag is very important. In the vast majority of cases, more is by far better than less. After all, you can always leave some pockets empty, but you can’t add pockets when you need them! Make sure that any promotional conference bag you purchase has a number of pockets in different shapes and sizes in order to accommodate all of your items.

The size and shape of the pockets is very important. If you’ll be carrying promotional pens to hand out, for example, the pocket in which you carry them must be long enough to accommodate the pen’s length. If you have all very small pockets, you might be very frustrated very quickly. However, at least one small pocket is preferable. Many people want a small pocket where they can keep their keys or other items that they don’t want to lose.

Hand in hand with that is the placement of the pockets. Pockets on the insider of the promotional conference bag are crucial for keeping items like your wallet safe. In fact, if your promotional conference bag has no pockets inside, you may be forced to carry a separate purse or bag for these items’ safekeeping. Outside pockets are great as well. These are nice for traveling by airplane especially. You can put your ticket in the outside pocket so that it can be easily accessed. You can also slip rings and other jewelry quickly into these pockets while you walk through metal detectors.

With outside pockets, make sure that they aren’t at awkward places on the promotional conference bag. To look as professional as possible, you don’t want the bag to bulge, and pockets at weird places could rub against you awkwardly if you carry the bag for long periods of time. If possible, see the bags in person before purchasing them to make sure that this won’t be a problem.

The closure on the pockets is also important. While snaps and clasps may look nice, zippers are much more practical if the pocket will be home to important items. Keep in mind, however, the zippers can easily break if you overfill the pocket. Velcro is also an option if you want to have quick and easy access to your pocket’s contents.

Lastly, consider how the pockets will function. Do any special needs have to be considered? For example, if you will be carrying a laptop, you may want to look for a pocket inside the bag that has a bit of padding to house your computer. All of your accessories should also be easy to store within the pockets of your promotional conference bag. Don’t get stuck with a pocket-less bag that doesn’t work for you! Take a moment to consider the pockets before you place your promotional conference bag order.
