A good business is a business that knows how to market itself. All the quality products and all the top notch services in the world mean nothing without some form of successful marketing. To do this, businesses need a comprehensive approach. This means possible ad campaigns on billboards, maybe even television commercials or other somewhat costly advertising options. However, businesses should not forget the little things. One easy way to complement larger marketing plans is to include simple promotional items in the budget, such as promotional pens.

Promotional pens may seem simplistic, which is part of why they are a smart marketing tool. Being relatively inexpensive to order and customize, promotional pens are easy to purchase in bulk, which gives businesses many distribution options. Not only is it possible to provide all staff members with the pens for use, which is especially useful when working with clients, but it is also possible to give promotional pens away to clients as a small thanks for continued service. Little perks do make a difference and improve the way people view a business.

Promotional pens also make a great advertising tool in larger context, such as a business fair. In these situations, promotional pens can be provided as freebies for people to take with them, providing longstanding advertising to hundreds of potential costumers that might not have known about the business otherwise.

Besides being useful and easy to order in bulk, promotional pens are also highly customizable. The pens can be as simple or as ornate as desired. From a classic capped pen with business information printed on the side to flashier see through click pens or even fancy ballpoint pens, businesses can select the pen that best fits their budget and their style. Pens can come in any number of colors and have plenty of room to print not only a business name, but a slogan or address or other contact information as well. The more distinctive the pen, the more likely it is to leave a lasting impression with costumers, but even the simplest pen can have a significant marketing impact.

 

Promotional pens and pencils seem like a silly idea to most, but they are rather effective at keeping right on point, especially with customers who write a lot.
