Stop Wasting Money On Useless Pay Per Click (PPC) Campaigns and Start Making Money

When you are a new business just starting up on the internet, it may be hard for you to get traffic to your site. One method you may discover of getting highly targeted traffic is through ppc ads. These are the easiest way to get visitors to your site, but it is also the most expensive.
When you are paying for each and every click, the costs you incur might seem small for a single click, but it can add up more than you realise
You may or may not have heard many horror stories about running up bills of thousands of dollars on Adwords and other ppc networks. This is actually quite a common occurrence. More and more people are falling into the world of costly ppc campaigns and often without any return of investment (ROI). I know that I have had my own bad experiences with ppc, ploughing in loads of money hoping for sales on my website, but losing money at an alarming rate. It can almost feel like being a gambling addict.

So how do you avoid falling into this ppc trap? Here are a few tips to help you survive ppc

1> Pay attention to your daily budget. Choose a daily budget you are happy with and stick to it. If you have already exhausted you daily limit don't increase it, focus on raising the conversion rate of your sales page or website.

2> Monitor your keywords. Using a large number of keywords may not be the best strategy. Start with a large number of keywords and monitor which are the most effective and remove the ones which don't have such a high click through rate.

3> When you are starting a new campaign, make sure you have a clear idea of how much you are willing to spend. It saves you raising your budget later without thinking it through properly

4> Optimize your campaign. Google has a tool for this. It will make suggestions on how to improve your ad campaign that will in turn result in a more targeted campaign, therefore more targeted traffic that has a better chance of ROI

5> Make the highest converting sales page or website you can. There is not much of point putting money into advertising when your visitors aren't interested enough in the landing page to buy from you

It may take a lot of tweaking and altering before you can get your campaign just right. But if you monitor what you are doing carefully and stick to a budget you will avaoid expensive ppc campaigns that have no or little ROI
