Using Your Card as More Than a Form of IntroductionSubmitted by andrewmichaels Mon, 28 Jun 2010
It's not enough that you've handed out a million business cards to everyone you meet; what matters is that your business card printing has a use and importance to the one receiving it. Because if it doesn't have any value to your recipient, they might just throw it away as fast as you can give them your business card.
Aggressive marketing with your business card is all about making this tool useful in addition to just holding your usual contact information. More than your details, your business card printing should be innovative to include other information that would make it easy for your recipients to hold on to it. And I'm not talking about putting blinking lights and attractive images in your cards. I am actually talking about designing your cards to provide alternative uses to it. Here's how: Loyalty cards. Print a frequent buyer card or a promotional offer card that would provide your recipients with a freebie or discount or any other gift every time they purchase anything from your products and services. Just don't forget to include an expiration date on them, then hand them out as often as you want to. Survey cards. Print a short survey at the back of your business card and have your recipient answer it. Then they can get a free gift or special discount just for providing answers to your short survey. After they've sent you back the card, you can then give them a new card with only your contact information on it. Other marketing tools. Print your business cards as hang tags, name tags, print flyers, tickets, or even as tiny greeting cards that you can use to attach to a gift basket or some other giveaway. When you use your business card as another marketing tool, like flyer printing for example, don't forget to handwrite a personal note to it. A ‘thank you' or a special holiday greeting can a go a long way in making your target clients feel special and appreciated. Announcement cards. Use them to announce a special event or a new product launch. Enclose the cards to all your sales and promotional letters to let your recipients know of what they can expect during the launching activity. The bottom line is to turn your business cards into something more than just a piece of paper to hold your contact information. They can do more than introduce you to your target clients. They can be powerful and strong marketing tools that let your target clients know of your value and worth to them.
