Ways to Use Promotional Pens

Submitted by Parkin

Whether you are starting out in your promotional product campaign, or you are well versed in the intricacies that come with giving out promotional gifts, promotional pens will never grow old. The variety in promotional pens ensure that there is a pen for every occasion, whether you are passing them out to high school students or giving a personal gift to the CEO of a client company of yours. This ensures that the flexible promotional pen will remain a mainstay in the advertising toolbox for a long time to come.
Promotional pens are used in almost every aspect of business, no matter how much of a push there is to move to a completely computer based platform. You'll always have packages to sign for, checks to write, quick to do lists, and other normal things that get taken for granted that you need a pen for. And, if you're customer base is the average consumer, they will tend to lose lots and lots of pens, leaving a constant hole to fill in their pen world.
At the lowest end, promotional pens can be used in your lobbies, by your employees, and handed out at gatherings to your broad customer base. These pens don't need to be, and really shouldn't be, too fancy. Just make sure that they work fine and have more than enough space to include your logo and contact information on it. This is your first level of promotional pen advertising, and is often targeted towards your customers and lower client base.
As you move up in the field of importance, you will want to adjust the types of pens you brand accordingly. Instead of plain ballpoint, go for a bit more of an expensive type of pen, perhaps refillable or elegant. You don't want to go completely overboard, but you do want to spend the time and money to get the quality that is required to impress your mid range clients. You can also use these to either wow potential customers or get loyal customers to stay around for life. The effectiveness of this varies by the type of business you have, however.
Finally, you go up to the high powered clients and contacts that you desperately want to impress. You want something stately, but not overbearing – and something that will be used often. The answer to this, of course, is an executive pen that will last them for a long time, reminding them of you every time they pick it up off of their desk.
No matter what type of promotional pen advertising you decide to do, you can rest assured that your promotional pens can adapt to fit virtually any occasion. Just match up the right pen to the right audience and you'll find that your returns are quite nice. Promotional pen advertising might just be the best ad dollars you have ever put in to your marketing budget – and while you might need to wait some time to see concrete results, trust me, you'll see results.
