Saudi Arabia is the largest Arab country in the region of Middle East and its capital is Riyadh. Eastern province, the largest province of Saudi Arabia, is located on the Arabian Gulf Coast surrounded by Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, Oman and Yemen. Its capital is Dammam, the third largest city of the nation after Riyadh and Jeddah.

Al-Khobar that lies adjacent to Ad-Dammam is an important commercial center of the region being a vibrant seaport. Eastern province is well connected to neighboring islands of Bahrain and others via King Fahd Causeway. The King Fahd International Airport is the largest airport in the world in terms of land area and a gateway to the province. Apart from connectivity, this region houses main oil & gas fields- onshore and offshore- of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In addition to oil, gas & petroleum reserves, Eastern province harvest thousands of tonnes of dates every year forming a large part of its economy. Dates are the second major product of Saudi Arabia.
