The freest economy in the Middle East and 25th freest in the world, Bahrain is the business hub. Apart from being a financial center, it is also popular for oil and pearls as well as for its construction marvels. It has various popular structures and skyscrapers that clearly display its structural expertise and finesse. -The population of Bahrain is above a million according the statistics with considerable number of people from South Asian countries. More than half the population is of expatriates from non-Muslim countries like India, Sri Lanka, Philippines, etc. out of which Indians make for the largest expat community in the city.

-Even though the official religion of Bahrain is Islam, the huge influx of migrants has made it a culturally flexible city. Also, it is noteworthy that the percentage of Muslim population in the city has been declining from last few years.
