Middle East is indisputably among the most sought after career destinations in the world today. The handsome pay packets along with attractive incentives and other benefits put across some of the most lucrative offers for professionals from outside the region. Jobs in Middle East have become popular since the time the Government decided to reduce the dependence of its economy on natural resources. However, oil and gas jobs in Middle East have always been coveted; the diversification has opened opportunities galore.

Millions of professionals leave their home country every year to explore this so-called mysterious part of the world, the Far East. Along with tax-free salaries and luxurious lifestyle, they get to connect with people from different nationalities, religions and beliefs as well. One of the most alluring features of Middle East jobs is that they are meant for both skilled and semi-skilled or unskilled workers. However, demand for well trained and experienced professionals is much higher than for unskilled manpower as it is easily available within the region. The neglect of other sectors for ages has rendered Middle East a lack of educated workforce leading to its dependence on foreign professionals. The dependability is so high that in some places population of foreigners outnumber that of locals and the scenario is same in the employment sector. But, Government in the countries of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman are making efforts at Saudization, Emiratization and Omanization by making it necessary for private employers to hire locals.

Jobs in Middle East surely present a great opportunity but as a matter of fact, one should not shift until convinced about it. One may be loaded with immense doubts about relocating and they should all be cleared before accepting the job offer and making the final move. A proper research must be taken by all those willing to go to any new region without exception as not doing so may be troublesome later. The research can deal with living standards, culture, laws, code of conduct, social environment, dressing code, business hours, tourist spots and other such things. Acquiring this information is important to adjust to the new surroundings amidst diverse kinds of people with different cultural beliefs, thought processes and bringing up. One may also undertake following checklist while planning to go ahead with that lucrative offer for employment in the countries in Middle East.

-Apply only in cities one is comfortable working in terms of temperature, food habits, dress code and other such elements. This is possible only after exploring the city well by matching own preferences with the ones available there and the scope for adjustment.

-If called for an interview on getting short listed, the trip has to be fully paid by the employer including sponsorship fees, visa charges and tickets. He is the one responsible for safely transporting the professional he wishes to hire into the country by furnishing all relevant documents.

-When a job offer is extended, it is of utmost importance to read the work contract carefully. As Middle East jobs are contractual, each word should be understood and every condition be made clear. Sometimes, contracts may be translated from Arabic to English and certain things be missed out making it all the more necessary to give it a mindful read.

-Make the final move into the region of Middle East after laying hands on some personal contacts. Try and make some friends online through communities and forums so that it is no more a world of strangers.

Career in Middle East is highly rewarding both professionally and personally and few precautions can help make it worth the compromises.
