When you arrive at your job interview.

When you arrive at your interview make sure you present yourself appropriately to your potential employer. This covers the basic things like ironing your clothes, polishing your shoes, comb your hair. If your feeling great about how you appear, that comes across to those about you. When you meet your interviewers

· Try to be relaxed when you go for an interview, if you behave in a polite relaxed way others have a tendency to feel comfortable around you.
· When you first meet your potential employer make sure you smile and keep a positive outlook throughout your interview.
· Try to shake hands firmly, but don’t try to crush their hand or give a weak handshake that feels like some kind of wet cloth.
· Resist crossing your arms and legs, as this is a sign that you are feeling defensive.
· Ensure you talk clearly, don’t cover your mouth with your hand, chew gum or talk to loudly or quietly.
· Give eye contct to the interviewers.
· When sat down be attentive leaning slightly forward and upright.
· When the interview comes to an end, ask the interviewer whether they could give you an idea ofhow long you should expect to wait to get an answer from them.

So the interview is finished, now what?

Ensure you reflect on how the interview went, write down anything you feel didn’t work, so you can look back, if you need to. Keep searching for, and applying to, work that you want, so that you don’t lose time, hanging around for a reply from the initial company. If you don’t get the job, look at how you were in the interview, but don’t take it personally there is work out their and you will discover the right job for you. Keep trying and don’t loose heart.
