Ahead of going for your interview.

When you receive the phonecall that says we need you to come along for interview. Think about what things you might be asked by the interviewers. And attempt to be as natural as you can be, if you pretend to be something you arent people soon see through you. When you answer any questions on the interview answer truthfully its no good pretending you have certain grades if you don’t, most companies check.

What do you feel you can give to the job?

Think about your strength’s and weaknesses. With positives try not to appear arrogant with your replys, answering in the third person is a handy way of looking modest but positive in your replys “My friends tell me…..”, “My work colleagues say that im…….”. If you are asked about your weaknesses turn things into positives by saying “collegues tell me that I work to hard…..” or “that im very meticulous…….”

What are your reasons for wanting to work here?

As you have looked at their website or talked to someone that works there, you will know what it is about the business that you like and how well you feel you would fit in there. Saying that the business is the place you would like to further your career and would very much enjoy the challenge of the role.

If you are asked, Why you are leaving your present role?

Don’t be unprofessional about your current employer, this might make the interviewer feel you are a troublesome employee. Use words like “ready for a new challenge” to let them know you are moving forward with your career.
