Despite|Regardless of} what you may think|Despite of our {assumptions|impressions, public relations isn't just for giant corporations and politicians. As a matter of fact PR is for normal folks, too.

If you are searching for a new gig or if you are interviewing for a promotion with your current employer. Or maybe you need to publicize a fundraiser for your club or charity. Maybe you desire to advance a cause. And it's possible you are just seeking attention and want your own picture in the news.
What ever it is you do, you like need your voice to be heard. Some might call it your personal "spin."

The art of relating to your particular public whether it's a small one or big -- is an important social ability we all must develop to some degree.

Certainly those who occasionally utilize public relations techniques for selfish gain at great social cost have defiled the profession. But those who desire positive gain owe it to themselves to become more skilled at PRtechniques, too.

How many great causes were in vain because they were not able to publicize their message? Or because their enemies were better at it?

This is why it's important that the techniques of public relations are utilized by regular folks, not just the publicity professional.
