Stun Guns are legal in all but a few states and in most places no license or permit is required to carry it. All this stopping power and still stun guns remain "Non Lethal".
Stun guns are available in various sizes from the size of a matchbox to a larger telescopic baton size. Stun Guns use batteries as a source of power and most are rechargeable. It should only be carried as way to protect yourself as a last resort and, from that perspective, it is an ideal non lethal personal safety product for women who go out at night on their own or have to walk through dangerous neighbourhoods.

How Stun Guns Work?

Stun guns use high voltage and low amperage to temporarily disable an attacker for several minutes. The stun gun does not rely on high amperage or pain for results; rather most stun guns operate on milliamps hence making it a non lethal personal safety product. The energy stored in the gun is dumped into the attacker’s muscles causing them to do a great deal of work rapidly. This rapid work cycle instantly depletes the attacker’s blood sugar by converting it to lactic acid. In short, he is unable to produce energy for his muscles, and his body is unable to function properly. The stun gun also interrupts the tiny neurological impulses that control and direct voluntary muscle movement. When the attacker’s neuromuscular system is overwhelmed and controlled by the stun gun he loses his balance. Should the attacker be touching you, the current will NOT pass to your body!

Stun guns have been proven to be safe and effective non-lethal self defense products. They do not cause any permanent damage to an attacker. The effects on the heart or other major organs are very insignificant.

Stun Gun Restrictions:
In most states, stun gun laws permit their use for home protection. But many States, counties and countries have incorporated stun gun laws that have placed restrictions and regulations and on size, usage and/or registration of stun guns to the general public.

Every one must know and abide by the local stun gun laws. Ignorance of stun gun law is never a viable defense.
States where Stun Guns are restricted: Indiana (no Tasers), Hawaii, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Wisconsin, Illinois.

Cities where Stun Guns are restricted: Annapolis (MD), Baltimore (MD), Baltimore County (MD), Chicago (IL), Denison / Crawford County (IA)
Countries where Stun Guns are restricted: Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Hong Kong, India (POLICE USE ONLY), Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom.
