When Filipinos are living abroad, particularly those that works for their families back in the Philippines, would usually make use of courier services to provide them means to send their packages or popularly known as "Balikbayan Boxes" back to the Philippines. One popular courier company that Filipinos all over the world have relied on back in the days was DHL. DHL or DHL Express is a division of Deutsche Post World Net providing international express mail services.

DHL Express provided the easiest way for Filipinos working abroad to send their letters or packages back to the Philippines. Today, though DHL is still a popular courier service, FedEx and UPS also begun to serve Filipinos the same way DHL does. But other than international courier and freight services, local courier companies have also begun to provide their services mainly for the use of Filipinos. One of which is LBC.

LBC is courier company which started for as long as DHL and FedEx does, the only difference is that LBC only started as a brokerage and air cargo agent. It was in the 1950's or post World War II that LBC or Luzon Brokerage Company was founded as a brokerage and air cargo agent. They worked by providing easy delivery service philippines for Filipinos. After their success in the field, they decided to expand their business and make it into a full air cargo forwarding service provider. This also fueled the first 24-hour air cargo delivery service in the Philippines, which expanded their business even more.

LBC's continuous growth in the domestic market fueled their determination to provide the widest local delivery service philippines in the country. One successful expansion was opening their first LBC branch outside the country, which was established in San Francisco, California in 1985. Presently, LBC has over 60 branches in the United States and Canada. A high number of Filipino migrant workers have also settled in neighboring Asian countries. LBC expanded with four offices in Hong Kong and eight others strategically situated in Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan.

LBC soon became a respected leader offering fast and reliable delivery service philippines and money remittance service throughout the Philippines. Today, LBC offers the widest coverage and network with over 600 strategically located branches nationwide.

Being in the forefront of innovation, LBC supported the growing needs of migrant Filipinos and their families by offering new services and establishing new businesses. In setting up LBC Development Bank in 1995, LBC offered banking products that helped Filipinos manage their financial resources and options. Online shopping and delivery to the Philippines were made available through Express Regalo, photo printing & delivery nationwide through Digiprint as well as fresh flowers delivery anywhere in the Philippines through Flowers Express.
