DVR Cards, Surveillance Integrators get their answersSubmitted by jds308 Wed, 10 Dec 2008
What is the difference between the Value Line DVR Cards and Professional DVR Cards?
The Value Line DVR Cards do not come in real time options (30 frames per second). Our Professional DVR Cards come in real time recording and viewing options. The Professional DVR Cards also come with the ability to be integrated with POS (Point of Sale Systems). Both Series of DVR Cards are reliable and come with a full 1 year warranty. The Professional DVR Card Series also comes with additional features that the Value Line DVR Cards do not come with. To better understand these features, go to each area and look at the specifications and features to better understand which DVR Card is right for you! How do your DVR Cards compare to other cards? All PCI DVR Cards are not created equal! There are many companies that stick the acronym DVR in their URL or on their website, but don’t know anything about DVR Cards and offer no real technical support. When choosing a DVR Card you will need to consider, video speed, image quality, playback features, compression, reliability, and technical support. Fact: Don’t believe everything you see on the web! When you do a google search for DVR Cards, see how many websites say they have the lowest DVR Card price? Can they all really have the lowest DVR Card prices? Obviously Not, so take the time to call the company and ask their technicians specific questions. What is the difference between a Software Compression DVR Card and a Hardware Compression DVR Card? Software Compression DVR Cards use power from the CPU to compress video, Hardware Compression DVR Cards compression takes place on the DVR Card itself saving power from the CPU. Do your DVR Cards support POS (Point of Sale) integration? Our Professional DVR Card series offers POS integration, with many different POS Systems (contact one of our representatives to see if your software is integrated). If we do not have your software integrated into our DVR Card, we can custom integrate with our engineering department.
