Energy For A New Petrochemical job?Submitted by taksh Sat, 24 Jan 2009
No one could be in any doubt that in the present economical climate the chances of loosing your job have increased significantly. Redundancy has become real for many working in all fields and at all levels of the working population. So if you are one of those who are already affected or you feel that it’s a good possibility that you may face this issue in the future its time to get focussed on where you go next and the thriving petrochemical industry is certainly one option that is worth looking at seriously. Petrochemical jobs have real advantages in many ways. The Petrochemical industry employs millions worldwide and with demand for their products steadily increasing. The opportunity for starting a new career with a petrochemical job in a thriving industry has to be a positive contender for your future prospects.
Don’t make the mistake of having tunnel vision when it comes to petrochemical jobs. You may only have the barest of knowledge regarding the fuel you use. For instance, how it is produced and of the processes which it undergoes before it gets to you, but many of the jobs in this vast industry will share job specifications with many other industries and will need similar work experience. You may find that you have many transferable skills which can be relocated into a Petrochemical job with the minimum of adjustment. Broadly speaking the Petrochemical industry can be seen as breaking down into 3 sections. Those of finding the fuel and extracting it, processing and refining it and lastly, selling it. Just think of the numerous petrochemical jobs involved in just one part of that industry. For one, consider the soldier who is ready to return to civilian life. He is the product of years of expensive training. Constantly updated skills in issues such as safety, logistics, man management and technical know how. He will be able to think and react quickly and be used to following strict procedures. No specific understanding of the fuel industry but a selection of valuable skills which will make him a really strong contender for a petrochemical job on a refinery perhaps. Or the seaman whose job in the shrinking fishing industry has dwindled away and who now uses those years of experience of the local waters and hard won skills to retrain as part of the petrochemical industry’s tanker jetty and deep water harbour team. For some perhaps the loss of a previous career will be a welcome opportunity to move. Petrochemical jobs often give the chance of a new life in a new country and if that chance is attractive to you it may be that you will need to look at relocating with a Petrochemical job that will offer a whole new world for you and perhaps your family too. The Petrochemical industry needs a vast number of skills and it’s a good chance that you have some of them. So whether you’re a heavy goods driver, chemist, team manager or chef, do yourself a favour contact a specialist agency which deals with Petrochemical job vacancies and see where your skills can take you.
