GAO FiberOptics has released a series of 3Com compatible XFPs

Toronto, ON – GAO Fiberoptics has released a series of 100% 3Com compatible, factor pluggable and small formed optical transceivers (XFPs and XENPAKs). GAO’s XFP and XENPAK modules support 10 Gigabit Ethernet IEEE standard interfaces as 10GBASE-LR, 10GBASE-ER and 10GBASE-SR.
Ever since the introduction of 10 Gigabit Ethernet, there has been a steady increase in enterprise and service provider networks as more and more bandwidth applications are deployed. Making 10 Gigabit Ethernet the natural migration path for forward-thinking enterprise and service provider architects.
