Google AdWords - Friend or Foe?

When it comes to using SEO tools, there are many different ones to choose from depending upon need. Google AdWords comes to mind when thinking about SEO tools. But you will have a mixed reaction when you are speaking to someone about this particular tool. If you speak to someone that is a fan of Adwords, then you will get nothing but praise about the service and the ability to rank pages higher with the combinations of keywords that are provided to you. They will also tell you that the service is simple and easy to use.
Now on the other hand, speaking to someone that is NOT a fan of Adwords, they will tell you that the service is too complicated to figure out. This can also be heard from some that are new to using keywords and SEO on a site. They will also point out that the cost is too high per keyword and writing an ad is too difficult as the directions are really not in plain English. So there are at least two sides to the story of Adwords. So which one is the correct one? Is Adwords a friend or a foe?
That honestly depends upon who you are talking to when it comes to this service. To be truthful, newbies and beginners will need a bit of extra instruction when it comes to AdWords if it isn't in plain English without all the technobabble. They need something that is concise and gets straight to the point. That is not to say their viewpoint is wrong, however. For experienced users, there is nothing wrong with AdWords as it stands now and scoff at any newbie that can't figure it out. They tend to look down on those that don't get it as they say.
Why do you think there are so many ebooks and manuals out there to get the best out of AdWords? This is a very popular tool for not only making money but also for ranking pages higher in a search engine. There are people that simply are not a fan of the language used in AdWords and are looking for a guide written in plain English. There are others that want to capitalize on someone else's information on the tool. So you have basically two camps of thought on this particular tool: fans and foes.
So which category should you be in? I leave that up to the reader to decide for them which category, if any they should be in. This really isn't a popularity contest. It is simply a tool when used and utilized properly can bring about great rewards. That is not to say that there may not be some things that could be changed when it comes to this particular tool. But that is left up to the reader to decide. Google AdWords is but one tools used in conjunction with SEO that can rank any content higher than the original content. It is left up to the reader to decide.
