How To Lose 10 Pounds Fast

There are many tricks, pills, fad diets available if you want to lose weight ultra fast. How do you feel though when the pounds pile back on just as quickly? Its demoralizing isn't it? You've wasted money and time on them, and you're no longer any pounds lighter. Feels like back to square one.

Well if you want to lose weight fast and keep it off you need to take it a bit steadier and at the same time develop some healthy eating habits that will stick with you. Then you'll find the pounds keep coming off, not piling back on again.

The first step is to check your portion sizes as most people who need to lose weight eat much larger portion sizes. These portion sizes could easily feed 2, 3 or even 4 people. When you have an idea of what a normal healthy portion size is then aim to reduce your portions to that size.

If at first it feels to big a step making that reduction, just start by reducing your portion sizes over time so that you get used to it. There is however some foods that you need to increase the portion sizes of and these are vegetables. Vegetables are full of goodness, leave you feeling full up and help you to lose weight.

This next step almost sounds as if it contradicts the above one, and that is to ensure you're eating enough and regularly enough. Often people try to skip meals particularly breakfast when they're trying to lose weight thinking that this will help. In fact, skipping meals can have the opposite effect. When you skip meals your body goes into starvation mode, your metabolism slows down and your body hangs on to fat just in case its needed.
