Different types of lubrication equipment

To maximize the effectiveness of any production line, you need to employ preventive maintenance.

The term preventive maintenance may seem straight out of a doctor’s handbook but it makes a lot of sense. It is one of the new age business mantras.

The trick is to prevent a problem from occurring by employing preventive measures rather than solving the problem after it occurs.

Even a single minute of downtime can cost you vastly when it comes to time and money. With high quality products like central lubricating systems and lubrication monitoring systems, there is no for any downtime to occur.

However, when you are entering the market, you need to be choosy and invest wisely.

Lubrication systems

• You can choose from self contained lubricators for single line and central system lubricators for multiple lines. These will ensure that there is precise delivery of lubricants to the various sections of the chain that undergo maximum wear and tear. The links, the bearings and the chain surface are some of these areas.

• As the lubricant is delivered there is reduced friction resulting in lesser power being consumed. There was a problem that was noted with conventional brush lubricators where lubricants would puddle on the chain. This problem is eliminated in these high tech systems.

• Also the quantity of the lubricant consumed is also lesser as it is only used as and where necessary.

Monitoring systems

• A monitoring system is as important as a lubricating system. It will give you complete graphical updates about the condition of the chain.

• The chain wear will be shown in sections of ten feet each. Since it keeps monitoring and updating in real time, you can easily predict where the next problem is going to occur and restore it before it occurs.

• The monitoring system can also be configured to give you email notifications on your desktop about any potential problems in the system.
