Build Your Business Using Twitter In 7 Simple Steps

Let’s first take a quick step back,
What exactly is twitter?
Well Twitter is basically one of the hottest new internet applications that has won the heart of users all over the internet. Think of it as a cross between your status update on facebook and a blog! It is, in fact a “micro- blogging application!” that will allow you to send short updates or messages to other people who follow you! These messages are very short in nature (up to one hundred forty characters) allowing them to be quite manageable!

Now being such a short message, ultimately users can make any updates via their mobile phones!
As a phenomenon that is growing in popularity, more and more businesses are looking at ways in which they can grow their business using twitter, in this article we will list seven quick ways that you can use twitter to grow your business:

1. Talk about what services you have provided for other people or other clients and what results they have received.- This method has the added advantage of letting people know what you do and painting a picture in their minds of what results they might expect by using your service!
2. Write about what current updates you have going on with your business, or what projects your business is currently working on- People like to keep abreast of changes and new developments. By always informing people they will relate to your organization a bit more and feel a part of what is happening.
3. Provide industry related links or useful tools that you have found and will help your target audience. – Always keep in mind, what is in it for the user, people do not like to have constant marketing being thrown at them all the time, provide value to those that are subscribing and strike a balance between communicating any messages you may have and giving benefits to people for following you!
4. With a large following it is possible to ask your followers a question or conduct surveys- why pay crazy amounts for market research when you can conduct it for free using a large group of subscribers!
5. Be the first point for announcements of new services and launches of new product ranges.- Realistically though for most companies their blog is the medium for announcing anything new, however, you can synchronize twitter to display a link every time you make a post on your blog!
6. It can be a platform to offer industry related advice or answer questions of people with answers that can benefit a wide range of followers- – basically interaction makes your organization relate more to the people. It makes it more real rather than some corporation on a pedestal.
7. Welcoming new followers with a personalized message- goes a long way in being noticed!
