Dog parks are unique spaces that can be beneficial not only to dogs but also for people. They are designed particularly for dogs to play off-leash while supervised by their owners. Dog parks are also venues where dogs can play with other dogs while their owners can also interact and exchange dog care tips. Dog parks also serve as wide, landscaped areas suitable for both dog and owner exercise. Other dog parks elements include:

Fences - Dogs will have a tendency to run away as soon as they are unleashed. A four to six feet high fence is usually found around a dog park area to protect the dogs as well as protect people outside of it. The fence may be solid or made of cyclone or chicken wire.
Benches and shade - Benches and shade are usually provided for the owners on hot days.
Parking areas - Parking areas are usually located adjacent or near to the site.
Access to water - Dog parks usually have taps or hydrants.
Tools - Tools are provided on site for users to pick-up and dispose of their dog's waste in covered trash bins around the park.
Exercise and play facilities - Exercise facilities can include ramps, slides, or steps. Toys can also be rented including balls and frisbees.
Other landscape areas - Other landscape elements seen in a dog park include outdoor trails, paving, water features, decorative or ornamental planting.
Access for the disabled - As there are some disabled bringing their Seeing Eye dog or other disabled visitors, dog parks include accessibility ramps and elevators

Aside from those parks that require fees, promotional activities help dog parks with expansion and facility upkeep. Examples of promotional activities can include celebrity promotion campaigns, corporate and political sponsorships, press and local community tours, and distribution or display of printed marketing collaterals such as flyers, brochures, park maps, souvenir postcards, booklets and large format poster and canvas prints. Online printing services such as UPrinting, offer fast and reliable wholesale printing of marketing collaterals at discounted prices.
