How to Use Clickbank for Affiliate Commissions

People are always asking me how to create income online and I always tell them that Affiliate Marketing is one of the easiest and most lucrative methods.

One of my favorite affiliate programs is Clickbank. It is easiest and most profitable affiliate programs to use. You can choose from thousands of products and set up your affiliate link within minutes.

Just go to Clickbank.com and set up an account. You will choose your own "nickname" which you will use in all your affiliate links for specific products.

Once you have an account, log in to your account at Clickbank.com and look at the top of the page where it says Welcome. Click on MarketPlace and you will see where you can enter a key word to search for products that you would like to represent. You can search by subject, title, author, etc.

Say you want to offer a product about golf... type in "golf" in the search box.

A list of products will come up and you can see for each product the cost, your commission and a description of the product.

You can click on the sales (pitch) page to learn more about the product. If you want to market that product, click on "Create Hoplink" and you will find a page where you can insert your Clickbank nickname and create your own affiliate link.

Copy that affiliate link into a document on your computer so you can save it.

Read the sales page and create a brief description of what you are offering. If you are using the product yourself (which I recommend), give your personal experience as a testimonial in your description.

Search at Google or Yahoo for the author of the product and see if they have any articles you can use. Write to the author to ask for banners, ads, etc.

Often you will also be able to log in as an affiliate at the sale page where you will find banners and sample ads you can use. Each product will be a little different with regard to what is available for your marketing efforts.

Once you have chosen the affiliate program, it is a good idea to purchase a domain name that you will redirect to your affiliate link.

Why? Because most affiliate links are not very attractive. Here is one I created as an example:

The domain name... http://RealOnlineIncomeSystem.com is redirected to the actual affiliate link... http://0b752fkceyuo2m5cnlndt8eqck.hop.clickbank.net

See the difference? Which link would you want to promote? Which link would you be most likely to click on?

You may purchase a domain name inexpensively and redirect it for no additional cost to your affiliate link. There are many domain companies you can use.

Once you have your domain name you can log in to your account and click on Manage to paste in your affiliate link for the redirection. Then when someone clicks on your domain name, they will be automatically directed to your affiliate link.

Now you are ready to share the product you have chosen.

Include your new domain name which is redirected to your affiliate link in your email signature, in your profile at online communities, social networks and forums.

If you have a website or blog create a page of helpful resources and include all your affiliate programs.

I do recommend that you choose a "niche" and then choose products that fit into your niche for better results.

Affiliate marketing can be fun AND lucrative, so make a decision to move forward and go for it!
