Marketing is an activity of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large, American marketing association was gave this definition. The process of marketing developed from the actual meaning which is going to market, as in shopping, or going to a market to sell goods or services. There are some unique marketing ideas, one thing is to attract the customers with best services and products.

Marketing is a long term process to be seen as a creative organization in which includes selling, distribution and advertising. It is also totally depend on the customers' future needs and wants, which are appear through market research.

Marketing is influenced by all firms and organizations, mainly its depend on four areas there are accounting, finance, management, and marketing. Each of these four areas performs specific functions. The accounting department is responsible for keeping track of income and expenditures. The primary responsibility of the finance department is maintaining and tracking assets.

All these functions are considered in planning a marketing strategy, and any one may be enhanced, deducted, or changed in some degree in order to create the strategy necessary to efficiently and effectively sell a product. Marketing deal with product with the specifications of the actual goods or services, and how it satisfies the needs and wants of the customers .

The four important elements in marketing are Product, Price, Place and Promotion.

The scope of a product generally includes supporting elements such as warranties, guarantees, and support. The product aspects of marketing deal with the specifications of the actual goods or services, and how it relates to the end-user's needs and wants.

The process of creating a price for a product, including discounts is Price. The price need not be monetary; it depend on product manufacturing cost, channels of distributions, it can simply be what is exchanged for the product or services, e.g. time, energy, or attention.

Distribution is also referred as Placement. It deals with how the product gets to the customer. This third P has also sometimes been called Place, referring to the channel by which a product or service is sold (e.g. online vs. retail), which geographic region or industry, to which segment (young adults, families, business people), etc.

Advertising, sales promotion, publicity, and personal selling, branding and refers to the various methods of promoting the product, brand, or company is called Promotion.
