Rainforests are essential natural resources. Rainforests serve as a habitat for native flora and fauna. Rainforests also serve as watersheds that hold and purify groundwater as well as recharge the aquifer. Rainforests also regulate the supply of oxygen through its large plant areas. Rainforests are vital to life on earth. These are the reasons why there are programs and regulations in place to save these habitats. Below are three notable organizations with this cause, set in place all over the world:

The Rainforest Conservation Fund (RCF)-The Rainforest Conservation Fund was founded in 1988 in order to ensure the future of tropical rainforests through practical solutions and with respectful commitment to local people. These tropical rainforest areas focused on the Tahuayo River and the 322,500 hectare Reserva Comunal Tamshiyacu-Tahuayo (RCTT). The RCF works with local people and governments to promote conservation and provide alternatives to environmentally destructive practices. The people living along the rivers subsist primarily by fishing, limited hunting and non-mechanical "garden" agriculture. As a result of the communal organization and commitment, the buffer zone, adjacent to the conservation area has been selected as the "pilot" program and model for future protected areas in northern Peru.

Iwokrama International Centre for Rainforest Conservation and Development- The Centre manages the nearly one million acre (371,000 hectares) of Iwokrama Forest in central Guyana to show how tropical forests can be conserved and sustainably used to provide ecological, social and economic benefits to local, national and international communities. Integral to their conservation efforts are the strong community relations with the communities of the North Rupununi and the Village of Fair View within the Iwokrama Forest.

Rainforest Alliance- The Rainforest Alliance works to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods by transforming land-use practices, business practices and consumer behavior. Based in New York City, with offices throughout the United States and worldwide, the Rainforest Alliance works with people whose livelihoods depend on the land, helping them transform the way they grow food, harvest wood and host travelers. From large multinational corporations to small, community-based cooperatives, the organization involves businesses and consumers worldwide in our efforts to bring responsibly produced goods and services to a global marketplace where the demand for sustainability is growing steadily.

Promotional and marketing for conservation effort organizations can be limited and constrained by a non-profit budget. A simple but effective marketing solution can be the use of printed materials such as brochures, flyers, pocket folders or posters. Online printing companies provide convenient, reliable and reasonably priced printing services. Information, printing tips and printing discount coupons can also be found online through blogs, multi-media and online directories. Uprinting, for example is an online printing company that is listed in web directories including LinkedIn and Yelp.
