Lately there has been quite some talk about Social CRM, at conferences, on social media channels like twitter, Linkedin and the rest. With the New Media/ Social Media changing the rules of the game called communication, we strongly believe that CRM tools have to evolve accordingly and shape up for what the customer is shaping up like!
And why would we not do it, according to Gartner Social CRM is going to be BIG! According to a recent article: Over 80% of growth in enterprise use of social networking tools will be driven by customer engagement projects, analyst forecasts. What has changed and why do you need something new? Well, nothing has changed essentially. Its simple, while you are reading this blog post, we are interacting with you and that is how business is done today. Communication has not changed, we believe it has evolved and hence we went about learning from the customers perspective as to how and what affects their perception of a product/ solution. As Gartner rightly said, Enterprise adoption of social media will occur primarily in the context of customer relationship management (CRM). Today, a major commonality which you get with consumers is the social media. Customer's perceptions are being affected and re-affected with content all around them. Businesses today have to get more personal, they need to know their customer. Times require that you know about your competition and your customer well in advance and well, social media helps you do not just that, but also track the buying trends and other perceptive values related to your target audience. That is what Social CRM lets you do. For customers today great service along with a great product is something which they expect as a given and this factor is something which really drives their buying decision and patterns.
