Targeted Landingpage Content Allows You to Build a Responsive Email Newsletter

Since you are considering building lists it is assumed that you have a product or service that you know people are interested in. If not don’t worry there are plenty of outlets to find great products in which you have full rights to sell or offer at no cost. The market you enter doesn’t have to be a niche it can be a broad market which allows you to create a large list and market to many segments within that market. On the other hand, you can build a niche list and only specialize in that segment of the market.

Although your market can be broad you cannot be broad in your content for the landingpage used to build your list. If your prospects don’t know what they will get when they sign up, why should they give you their email address?

For instance, if one of your landing pages promotes article marketing as a way to drive traffic to your website then the no cost offer used to build a list should be about article marketing. I know you think this is a simple concept but it is often overlooked. If your niche market is related to a broader market the opt in direct email list that you build can be marketed all related products

If you have already done your research and you have your market and website set up you need to ensure your content and landingpage tells your visitors exactly what they will get when they opt-in to your email list or sometimes called a email newsletter.

To start your opt in list building blueprint, write down ways you’re going to obtain your opt-in list. A few different ways are:


  • article marketing

  • blog marketing

  • Social marketing

  • Google Adwords (or any PPC program)

  • classified ads on sites like Craigslist

  • Direct mail


…Blog, article, and social marketing must have well written anchor/link text which are relevant to the content on your landingpage. Remember you have to entice the visitor to give their email address to you.

Getting a person to give you their email address is almost like selling except you’re not getting money (not right away).

The keys to writing a successful landingpage is:


  • Place your Opt in form in the top fold

  • Introduce yourself

  • Tell a bit about how you got into what your marketing.

  • How can what your offering benefit your market?

  • What does your market receive for signing up to your list



These are simplified directions to a landingpage structure. The point is this, if writing a landing page is not your thing you need to know what instructions to give whom ever you hire to do the job. You should also use other great landing pages as an example (do not plagiarize). Your job is not a writer or a webmaster. Ultimately your job as an Internet Marketer will be to:


  • Find profitable markets

  • Impliment your marketing strategy

  • Enjoy the fruits of your labor

  • Then repeat, in as many markets as you can effectively administer


While cash is low you may need to get your hands dirty, do not let this discourage you have faith that the tedious work will be short lived.

You will have to write several snippets and landing pages all of which essentially say the same thing but in a different manner. This will allow you to split test different adcopy and select the one that performs better.
Besides coming up with great adcopy (landingpage content) sometimes the hardest part is finding something to offer at no cost that people can use. My Mom always says “you can get more flies with honey”…or is that bees? I’m not implying deception just something that people can use and not have to pay for builds a good reputation when you give it to them.
