With so many things that blogging can do for individuals and business professionals, many ways are sought by bloggers to gain more visitors for their respective weblogs. Blog owners can focus on different avenues of creating and designing a blog, and promoting article content to other bloggers. In addition, people can also learn from the mistakes done by other bloggers to succeed in creating effective blogs for a wide variety of internet users. Here are the five common mistakes in blogging.

1. Creating a nondescript profile - Creating a nondescript profile for the author and for the blog itself is not a good idea. People will perceive the articles posted in a nondescript blog as unreliable content written by an unknown author. Therefore, setting forth an author's previous experiences in different fields and stating his or her interests can gain trust from online readers and internet users.

2. Not providing an author photo - Not providing an author photo for a blog can lessen a blogger's opportunity to be known among other blog owners and Internet users. A photo can provide a more personable impression, in which specific readers and users can relate more easily to a certain author or blogger. This is advisable most especially for people who run a professional blog.

3. Posting articles irregularly - Not sticking to an original publication schedule will lose many valuable readers for a weblog. What's important for every blogger is to update their weblog daily, weekly or monthly, depending on the topic of the blog posts.

4. Having no focus with article topics - Writing on many different topics will also lose the interest of online readers and users. A blog must focus on a specific theme to find a market that will be giving more traffic to a specific blog. A blogger can focus on topics related to business marketing, advertising, movies, books, architecture, education and learning, self-improvement or other fields of interests. 5. Having too many blogs at a time - It is not advisable for individuals and business professionals to have many blogs at a time.
