Mini Tips to Improve Your Score at Mini Golf

Mini Golf is a fun activity to keep occupied with during your summer vacation. Mini Golf is a sport that takes time and technique to acquire the skills to play. Mini Golf can be played by all ages and is a fun activity to be involved with family or friends. Below are some helpful tips for you to improve your score at Mini Golf:

Swing from the shoulders instead of your wrists. Swinging from the shoulders will give you a steady golf swing to hit the ball in the direction and at the speed you are aiming for.

With Mini Golf, you should take the time to analyze the layout of each hole. It will be easier to anticipate the angle and stroke you should take to get your ball into the hole. Hills can make your ball veer left or right unexpectedly. If you are able to see the hills and dips beforehand you can calculate the swing you will need to make to get the ball in the hole.

Tune out the noise and moving obstacles. The moving obstacles may look fun and interesting but they're put there to distract you. Tune them out and zone in on the hole and getting the ball there in as few swings as possible.

Avoid over hitting the hole at a miniature golf course. Some players think if it seems like an impossible shot it's better to get it close enough to the hole rather than aiming for in the hole itself. That might just end up costing you extra strokes for going over par. Aim for the hole and nothing else.

Make sure you are using a putter designed for your body type. Using a putter that is too short or too long can interfere with your swing and your overall putting performance.

Do not take a swing at the ball without taking a couple practice swings. Practice swings let you determine if the swing you are planning to make will be correct to put the ball into the hole. You will be able to check if the direction and speed of your swing will be correct.

Finish your swing and then move out of stance to see whether the ball is moving in the direction where you wanted it to go. Many people make the mistake of moving to see the ball while swinging which deflects the angle and your aim.

Take the time to practice putting off the mini golf course. There are plenty of videos and books you can read which will enhance your putting technique.

If you are complete beginner it would be a good idea to hire a coach so you can get the important basics down correctly. Golf stance, golf grip and golf swing are all important things that should be learned correctly and practiced with a coach. Once you get the idea then you can practice on your own.

Practice Mini Golf on your own for a while before you decide to play with friends. Practicing on your own allows you the freedom to try the tricky holes over and over again till you understand what kind of swing it will take to get the ball into the hole. Most enthusiasts have taken the time to build mini golf courses in their backyard to practice whenever they want. Building a Mini Golf Course in your backyard is an affordable investment to think about and fun entertainment for everyone while having people over.
