Offshore Outsourcing Won't Die – Here's Why!

Submitted by MANEET PURI

Offshore outsourcing is facing tough times. As economy becomes more turbulent and the Unites States tightens its policies against companies that outsource, the concept of free trade has taken a backseat.
Companies and organizations that outsource their work to overseas service providers have been denied tax breaks causing them to re-evaluate their outsourcing projects. However, the turbulence is only short term and in view of globalisation, there is now way outsourcing can be done away with.

Here are some reasons why outsourcing cannot die and will survive to be an indispensable business tool.

Effective Strategy
Because of the credit crunching times, companies and organizations are faced with the immense pressure of maintaining their profit margins and bringing down their cost figures. And offshore outsourcing is the best possible solution for the situation. Offshore services provides charge only a fraction of prices of what it takes to complete the process on home-turf.

Offshore outsourcing also gets you value for money. This is because for lower costs, you can gain access to high quality services offered by skilled professionals. This in turn enhances the competitiveness of business enterprises in the global arena. More than a trend, it has become the need of the hour in the current times.

Improved Competitiveness
Offshore outsourcing plays a pivotal role in enhancing the business competitiveness of business enterprises. It turns on a cycle that further reimburses the jobs that have been lost due to outsourcing. Hence, any effort to combat outsourcing will have a severe blow on the competitiveness of businesses. This will further deteriorate its performance in the global markets and its profit margins will be invariably be decreased.

Expansive Scale
The United States has cut down the tax breaks for companies that outsource their processes to offshore service providers. However, the effect of eliminating tax breaks is dependent on the scale of their outsourcing projects. There are companies that have been in the outsourcing business for decades together. For them outsourcing benefits would be much larger than the additional taxes that are levied. So it poses as no problem to them. Thus even without tax breaks, they may continues their outsourcing endeavors and do business succinctly.

Economic Advantages
Offshore outsourcing offers economic advantage to the outsourcing countries as well as part of a chain cycle. By offshoring their work processes abroad, companies seek to make profits. At the same time, it leads to increase in revenue of the offshore countries which generally are developing countries of the world. When the revenue increases, per capita income for its population also increases and this makes them better competent to purchase products from western countries. This again adds up to the revenue of outsourcing countries.

With so many business advantages, outsourcing cannot be done away at any cost. The turbulent economic climate may have prompted the united states to adopt some protectionist measures but it cannot continue for too long. After all successful global business endeavors are sustained by free trade and offshore outsourcing is the only solution.
